I had the privilege of meeting and learning from Ken Blanchard, author and speaker, most notably known for his book “The One Minute Manager”. He was here in Rochester speaking about his latest book “The One Minute Entrepreneur”.
I think of all the profound things he said, my favorite came towards the end of his talk. “At the end of the game – it all goes back in the box. So seperate the temporary stuff (work, money, success) from the important forever stuff (family, love, friends).”
And then he quoted Sam (Patrick Swayze) at the end of the movie Ghost, “The remarkable thing is you get to take the love with you.”
